Why Choose Global Write-Speak?

Right Speech is the first principle of ethical conduct in the Noble Eightfold Path of Buddhism, and it inspires our name. At Global Write-Speak we offer oral, written, and intercultural communication skills training. Communication is more, however.

Right Speech, or effective, genuine communication is one in which all parties feel heard and understood. It is communication in which the speaker or writer’s content, tone, non-verbal language, and intercultural awareness combine so that the listener or reader receives what the sender intends.

Kathleen_MSKathleen O’Dea, the founder of Global Write-Speak, is passionate about communication and culture. Through the design and delivery of business communication and cross-cultural classes, workshops, and coaching sessions, Kathleen assists clients in polishing their oral and written skills so that they thrive in their professional and personal lives. When clients need organizational development, leadership coaching, or strategy planning, Kathleen collaborates with other members of the Global Write-Speak consulting group.

Beginning her career as a teacher and administrator in Turkey, Kathleen has worked for over 20 years with learners of all ages and nationalities: in the corporate and non-profit workplace, multicultural centers, universities, and public and private schools.

She has also conducted trainings for the Alameda County Registrar of Voters and written and edited for Educational Testing Services. For a complete list of clients, refer to the Client website page.
